Community Programs Co-ordinator

          Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer/Clerk, the Community Programs Co-ordinator will be responsible for developing, implementing and coordinating community-based recreation programs that suit the evolving needs of the community.

Preference will be given to candidates who possess the following:

University degree or college diploma in business administration, recreation or another related field or similar relevant experience;
1–3 years experience in community outreach or volunteer management/coordination;
1–3 years experience in municipal or other public sector;
Experience working with the public and strong interpersonal skills;
Superior customer services and communication skills;
Excellent computer skill including advanced Microsoft Office;
Energetic, self driven professional with a passion for social innovation and community building;
Strong work ethic, ability to multi-task and work independently.

The wage for this position is $25.88/hour based on a 40 hour work week with an expected start date of January 1, 2020.  This position will be required to work some evenings and weekends as part of the regular work week.
