The Corporation of the Townships of Alnwick/Haldimand and Township of Hamilton, the Corporation of the Town of Cobourg and the Municipality of Port Hope are collectively partnering a Joint Animal Control Services Program. The Joint Animal Control Services Program offers animal pickup services for domestic animals (dogs and cats) within the four municipalities' catchment area. Similarly, the Township of Hamilton operates the Municipal Animal Services facility located at 2363 Threate Road South, on behalf of the Joint Animal Services partners within the same catchment area. 2017 LICENSE FEES
The Joint Animal Services Board of Management, represented by the participating municipalities mentioned above, have established a streamlined approach to the purchase and sale of dog tags. All four municipal partners will be running their dog tag programs in accordance with the calendar year. Dog tags are sold at your local municipal office in your respective municipality.
The Township of Alnwick/Haldimand dog tags are available at the municipal office in Grafton. The following 2017 Fees are applicable:
Costs of Tags as of January 1st:
- Natural Animals (not spayed or neutered) - $35.00
- Spayed or Neutered Animals - $20.00
- Kennel Licenses - Please contact By-Law Enforcement Officer Daryl Hall at 349-2822 ext. 27
- Replacement tags - $5.00
